At long, long last we wrap up the Thieves Guild questline with this quest. FYI, you can only get this quest once you've completed not only Darkness Returns, but also all four city reputation quests. We took care of that a long time ago, so things are ready to roll as soon as we return from the Twilight Sepulcher.

Befitting a Thieves Guild, the ceremony is short and sweet. Afterwards we talk to everyone to get some bits of new dialogue, and of course we visit Tonilia to get our Guildmaster armor set as well. With all that done there's really only one more thing to take care of before we wrap up all things Thieves Guild-related forever (well, except for No Stone Unturned) - rob the place blind. Yes, we're going to take our leave of all our thief friends by taking all their stuff.

We start in the Ragged Flagon since we're already there to get the armor from Tonilia. Now we actually robbed the Flagon some time ago before we started completing the city reputation quests, but what we haven't done is rob the four new merchants who've moved in, all of whom are carrying some nice items for us to nick. From there we head back into the Cistern and clear it out. Now technically I'm not sure if we actually "steal" any of the items here - being Guildmaster, most all of them are available for us to take, as it should be. But regardless, we're taking it all.

From there there's only one more location - Nightingale Hall. After completing Darkness Returns it gets a slight makeover, and there are a few items there that weren't there when we first visited. So we make sure and pick those up, then head back to Breezehome to sort n' sell it all.

So what now? Well, if you've been following along you know our over-arching goal has been to complete the longest and most tedious quest in the game - No Stone Unturned. Having completed every other Thieves Guild quest (NSU is technically a TG quest), we now have 23 out of 24 Stones of Barenziah. Where's the last one? The Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary.

But we can't just jump immediately into the DB questline to get the last Stone. We have a few things that need to be taken care of first to set ourselves up for the DB quests. I'll start explaining what those are next time when we do the first one.
