Having finally finished the Hjaalmarch swamp, we now turn our sights to the frozen eastern reaches of the hold. We continue where we left off yesterday, exploring the northern / western side of the road as it turns north to run to the Pale.

Soon after we begin we come across our first secondary location, The Conjuror's Caravan. A couple of bandits have slain a conjuror in his wagon and are looting the goods when you first approach this location which lies right on the road. From there we continue heading north until the road begins to turn east to head towards Dawnstar, while a dirt parth continues north to the frozen coastline. We continue following this path until it leads us to High Gate Ruins, a nordic barrow we've already explored that lies very close to Windstad Manor. We turn south again from here, and we now just have to fill in the frozen wasteland between the road and the swamp we've already explored.

The only other location we come across here is a secondary location known as Bandit's Hovel. The titular bandit is missing from the burning house, but the chest is still inside to loot. This location technically belongs to the Pale, as the line between Hjaalmarch and the Pale runs through this area we're exploring. We do come across the Hjaalmarch Stormcloak Camp as well, but as with the other Stormcloak camps we've visited we're leaving this one alone until the Civil War.

By the time we finish we're very overloaded with loot, so we finish with a sort n' sell back home in Whiterun. Next time we'll return to Morthal and from there begin exploring southern Hjaalmarch - the last remaining part of the hold.
