Skyrim 100% Maximized Legendary Playthrough - 433. Exploring Southern Hjaalmarch Part 2
0At long last we complete our exploration of Hjaalmarch in this video. There are just a few bits left for us to explore mostly in the southern part of the hold.
We start off with a mystery. According to my spreadsheet, I still haven't done the Lost Valkygg dungeon inside of Labyrinthian (a Hjaalmarch location), so we head there to do it. It's very short and just takes a few minutes, but the issue is that I distinctly remember doing this already. I recognize a lot of the features of the dungeon - the prison room with the skill book, the hole you have to drop down at the end, etc. But as I said, I didn't record it in my spreadsheet, and for the life of me I can't find what video I might have done it in. This isn't a case of remembering it from a previous playthrough either. It's been years since I would have done a location like this, but I remember it clearly as part of this playthrough.
This is why there's a splice in the video right after finishing it. I quit to go look through my previous videos to see where I might have done it, but I found nothing. The obvious place to look was when I was doing Labyrinthian as part of the College of Winterhold questline, but it's not there. If you remember where I did it (and obviously forgot to record it), then please let me know. It's possible I did it as part of a recording I ended up discarding for one reason or another, but I'm thoroughly puzzled by this.
After that we head back to Drelas' Cottage to explore a tiny bit of land we should have picked up last time. There's a small plateau to the east of the cottage, and on it lies a secondary location - Hamvir's Summit Hunters' Camp. While the Cottage lies in Whiterun, the Camp lies in Hjaalmarch, so the border between the two obviously lies somewhere nearby. There are a couple of hunters here (whom we rob) and some great views of Whiterun hold, but soon we're done and on to our last stop.
We head back to the northern entrance to Labryinthian, and all that remains is the south side of the main road between it and Stonehills. A dragon decides to attack right when we get to Stonehills, and I think it actually was the dragon from Skyborn Altar nearby. In any case the only thing left for us now in Hjaalmarch is some looting, which we'll get to in the next video.
