Previously, for the quest "Forbidden Legend", Davilas finished gathering the Gauldur Amulet Fragments from Folgunthur and Geirmund's Hall. Now, he will take them to be reforged in Reachwater Rock, a cave near Sky Haven Temple.

After resuming, Davilas heads home to Whiterun to unburden himself a little bit.

Then, he fast-travels to the Karthspire near Sky Haven Temple. Across the bridge to the south, he runs into another Dark Brotherhoold Assassin sent to kill him. Foolish assassin.

South of Sky Haven Temple, Davilas finds the cave Reachwater Rock. This is where he has to go.

Soon after entering, he finds a dead adventurer with a copy of "Lost Legends". On a nearby pedestal, he finds the Emerald Dragon Claw, which he will need. There is also an Ancient Edict.

At the first dragon claw door, Davilas must use the Emerald Dragon Claw and its solution. Beyond, there is another dragon claw door. This one requires the Ivory Dragon Claw and its solution.

At the end, Davilas finds a table with three amulet pedestals. He must place the three Gauldur Amulet Fragments here. Then, he will face the ghosts of Gauldur's sons again in succession. First, he faces Mikrul Gauldurson, along with a group of Draugr. Not too hard.

Then, Davilas faces Sigdis Gauldurson. This time, Sigdis summons three doppelgangers rather than three. Keep your distance if possible.

Finally, Davilas faces Jyrik Gauldurson again. Sigdis's doppelgangers will complicate the battle if they are still here.

After the battle, Gauldur's ghost appears. He fuses the three fragments together in the Gauldur Amulet, which Davilas takes. The Gauldur Amulet increases Health, Magicka, and Stamina by 30 points. Not bad. "Forbidden Legend" complete!

Upon reaching Level 40, Davilas increases his Health again. Under Archery, he picks up "Quick Shot", which lets him draw his bow faster.

Leaving the boss room, Davilas can find the boss chest to the south.

Now, Davilas will work on the objective "Find Red Eagle's sword". This began when he read the book "The Legend of Red Eagle". The book can be found in several places, including the Bards College in Solitude. The target location is northeast of the Karthspire.

Davilas fast-travels back to the Karthspire. In the hills to the northeast, he finds Red Eagle Redoubt, a Forsworn base. After taking out a couple of door wardens, Davilas enters the cave Red Eagle Ascent.

The upper exit from Red Eagle Ascent leads to another outdoors portion of Red Eagle Redoubt. The main portion of the Forsworn camp is located here.

Near the Sundered Towers at the top of the base, Davilas finds a relatively high-level Forsworn marked as a target. Davilas loots this Forsworn to find the Red Eagle Tower Key and Red Eagle's Fury, which is Red Eagle's sword. Now, Davilas must "Unlock the secret of Red Eagle's tomb". The tomb is located in Rebel's Cairn, a cave to the east of Red Eagle Redoubt.

Before leaving, Davilas uses the Red Eagle Tower Key to explore the Sundered Towers.

Down the slope to the east of the towers, Davilas finds the Rebel's Cairn. In the first large room of the cave, he finds a pedestal. When he places Red Eagle's Fury here, a door opens. Davilas heads in and finds the tomb chamber, where he does battle with Red Eagle. Red Eagle is now a Draugr, and he summons undead to help him. I did not find him especially difficult.

A boss chest is located beyond Red Eagle's sarcophagus.

On the way out, Davilas can take Red Eagle's Bane.

After leaving the cave, Davilas fast-traveld back to Whiterun. Next time, he will continue questing.
