Welcome to the first installment of my Skyrim SE playthrough series.
In the first chapter - In The Name Of The Empire - we follow Gaius, a patriotic Imperial who was born and bred in Cyrodiil. Like most Imperials, Gaius grew up understanding life as an intricate system of complex and competitive power structures, in which all individuals compete for advantage over others in order not only to survive but also to gain influence and foster prosperity.
Unfortunately for Gaius, having grown up in a slightly less well off family from the Imperial City, his early life saw him having to engage in petty crime just to maintain enough income to help put food on the family table. It was during this time that Gaius was arrested and charged several times for minor misdemeanors. While this didn't affect his life too much it happened to have dire consequences when he became an adult and wanted to travel to Skyrim in order to join the Imperial Legion in the fight against the Stormcloaks. It was then that he was denied access to Skyrim at the border and told he was not legally allowed to leave Cyrodiil due to his criminal past.
Seeing as Gaius has always been a somewhat crafty individual who stoically takes the matters of his life into his own hands he ended up trying to sneak across the border illegally, only to be captured by Imperial authorities.
It is here where our story begins with Gaius, hands bound and lumped into a carriage full of Imperial prisoners, heading North into the great plains, harsh mountains and challenging environments of the war torn Nordic Holds , and the limitless possibilities of his new life, in Skyrim.........
