Never liked alchemy in Skyrim (don't enjoy any of the crafting skills) and always hated that I couldn't throw my potions, much like the Frankenstein Monster in Super Castlevania 4 which always comes to mind when thinking about potion throwing, and also that there wasn't any variety outside of poisons and paralysis, and that you could only use by applying to a weapon or the most ridiculous thing, putting it in someone's pocket, like why not their food or drink. So when I saw this Toxic Toss mod I had to check it out and so far, pretty cool mod, you can toss any potions and enemies or npcs, so since the game lacks any really good damage potions I decided to make my own.
Checking this mod out with my own custom potions/poisons mod which I am currently testing what I have created so far, mod I'm calling "Homestyle Potions" because they will all be crafted in the cooking pot with ale or maybe some other alcoholic beverages or other food stuff in combination with alchemy ingredients. I haven't tested the crafting yet, maybe will make another video with that.
Fire, Frost, Shock, all work very well with this Toxic Toss mod which is what I made it to work with though doesn't rely on it, pretty sure they can also all be applied to a weapon since it is all labeled as poisons. The Light Potion can actually put a hovering light over multiple targets nearby the blast. Turn Undead Potion works well, but Reanimation Potion appears to be able to reanimate multiple dead but only one is actually revived while the rest just stand up but are still dead. Quake Potion I was hoping for more of an impact, but I guess I need to apply that ground shaking dirty flying effect separately, but it does stagger foes allowing to pass by them or hit them while they are momentarily stunned. I still haven't found any actual daedra to banish with the Banish Potion, so not sure if working yet, maybe I can conjure one up and that will be the easiest way to test that. Got some more ideas for potions or poisons but have to find what actually works, a few other things I tried didn't do anything so is all experimental. Also, not sure if these are showing up in merchant inventory, and would like them to be out there in the world to find like most other items.
While I currently don't have this mod active, Elemental shield potion, here : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6738 , is what I used as a template to understand and make my mod that is still just a work in progress thing which I am hoping with enough testing and being able to add to it that I can make it a really good mod to use all the time.
