There are still fortunately a few really cool mods that add content to Skyrim that you can use. Unfortunately things like flora or ingredients replacers may not work if they change things like the visuals of dragon's tongue source. But if they are simple texture or mesh replacers then it should be ok but I'm not sure, I'm not a modder. Most weapon packs or mods that add even one magical weapon replacer that edits a vanilla weapon script, in other words changes something about its enchantment that makes it flashy and cool will not work.

Fortunately mods that add quests to the game that DO NOT edit vanilla quests can be used. So be careful with quest mods that are in the Skyrim world space that are things like an extension of a vanilla quest.
