This is how you'd do the Ancient Cistern basement in a speedrun. From the end of the video you just go through the door and up to the BK device. The whole basement is done in a matter of 2:00-2:30 minutes :).

This is the combining of Mzxrules's rope early trick and my method of reaching the ledge. Going straight to the BK like I did in my previous video isn't useful at the moment because you can't escape the pit after getting the BK (I spent an hour trying so I think it's a lost cause). Deathwarping puts the key back in the chest, it's programmed so that Link needs to survive exiting the pit in order to keep the key.
