This skips having to kill the two snails and use their shells as platforms when you cross the first quicksand area in Lanayru Desert.

How to do:
1. Stand a little left of the tree and let the first snail ram the edge and get dizzy.
2. Run off the edge to the left of the snail and hold sprint for about a second as soon as you land.
3. Alternate using sprint with about the same timing I use in the video.
4. When on the second platform, run-off on the far right edge to avoid the second snail seeing you and use the same sprinting technique as before. You can Z+A jump off this edge before sprinting to make it a little easier if you want.

You can slingshot the first snail if you want (might be faster) but it's risky because you have less time before he stops being dizzy. I'm pretty sure the second snail can never see you if you stay to the right but if not you can slingshot him.

It doesn't seem possible to skip the second snail in the quick sand area just after this one, the platform is just barely too far away. I tried many times, even with a jump-to-a-jumpslash into the sand before sprinting.
