The first Linux distro I ever installed was an early version of Slackware Linux on CD, and the current version, although completely up to date and modern, is much the same to install as ever. It's an opportunity to explore a somewhat more traditional Linux install without being to difficult or having to compile everything from scratch. Quite a long video, but does take the opportunity to explore some of the XWindow managers available on Slackware such as TWM, FVMW2, XFCE and KDE.
