Slim Plays Pokemon Trading Card Game - #1. That Boring Tutorial Episode
133In the late 90's, Pokemon was taking the world by storm with a variety of different outlets. There were the games, there was the anime, there were all the toys....and then there was the card game! Of course, most people used the card game as a way to collect the Pokemon cards and not actually play the game, but there was an official game that went along with it and a Game Boy game that was made to show it off even more; which is what I will now be playing for you guys.
Our quest is to become the Pokemon Trading Card Game champion and inherit the legendary Pokemon cards. To do that, we need to obtain 8 club master medals and then beat the 4 Grand Masters. It'll be a tricky feat for sure, but with our Pokemon cards, we shall not fail!
We won't get into the real meat of the game until next episode. Unfortunately this game has a very sluggish tutorial and of course we will have to do some set-up afterwards as well, but we'll be seeing nothing but card battles the rest of the way!
