A game which i never had heard before, but got the recommendation. I first thought that Slipstream and Slipstream 5000 are the same, maybe another part, but i was mistaken.
Both are racing games and both got this old game aesthetic. But Slipstream is looking like a older game and Slipstream 5000 IS a older game.

What is it about. It's a futuristic flying "car" racer, where you face your opponent on tracks around the world. On each track you have to finish 6 Laps to end the race. Your race-plane is equipped with a build in laser, which you use to damage the other racers or zeppelins. The zeppelin pops in one hit and drops a item, this can be a repair for your engine of your steering, a speedboost, cash (which you can spend after the race for upgrades) or the inversed steering (which you don't want).

The damage that is done can't destroy your vehicle, but damage to the engine slows you down and damage to the steering makes your turns wider. So if you are damaged too badly you might want to take a detour to the repair tunnel, which to find on every track (atleast in the 4 that i played).

This is my 2nd start of the game, i botched the recording on the first one a bit. The game runs in DosBox i recorded the game by placing a selfmade picture behind the window and used the windows magnifying glass to get this small window on the right size.
