Slow Motion seems to crop up in most games these days in one form or another. Yet despite being so prevelant, I feel like there is still more to be done with it. Typically, there are four main uses of Slow Motion:

1. Style
2. Pacing
3. Gameplay Function
4. Game Feel

There may be more but we'd start to veer away from games and more onto films. Watch this video by "The Discarded Image" for more info:

Note: I just noticed a similar "Time Lapse" styled intro. I swear that no foul play was done. I came up with the intro for this video a while ago and just happened across this video while researching.

Anyway, while the 4 aforementioned uses for slow motion are great, I feel like there is more potential for power. Looking at how Super Hot manipulates time is a great example of what I mean.
