Not really a "small talk" issue this time around. Kind of a big deal that's happened considering that it's been the only thing I've been doing for half a year now. I'm pretty freakin' nettled in this talk, and I'd like to say for good reason. Granted, my own stupid curiosity and amnesiac antics got me in this situation, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm upset about the whole thing.
Anger aside, it's actually quite impressive just how quickly and decisive SE is with their policies. They were on the ball with that banhammer. Although, I probably would've been able to resolve the issue completely without the suspension interference (I had similar instances in the past, and usually a simple password change does the trick after a full computer scan). Still, policies mean nothing if they aren't policed, so I have to respect them for keeping true and close to them. Though, I still would appreciate that email regarding the nature of my suspension. I mean, it's pretty clear that a compromised account is fair grounds, but I'm actually curious if my account was suspended because of that, or if there was a large influx of harassment reports thrown my way and *that* was the trigger: harassment. If it was the latter, then ho boy I'm probably in for a treat.
But anywho yeah, watch out for the ". top" links. And if this video gets popular and people start looking out for that domain suffix, I have a feeling the hackers will make another web page underneath a different domain. If they end up adapting to going that route, I recommend keeping an eye out for any new, unfamiliar ones and using this website to double-check the general authenticity of the domain:
