Here's a recording of SMART's 2017 Gillig BRT 40ft' #3701 operating on route 462 FAST Woodward to Detroit from Pontiac. Because of the Woodward Dream Cruise traffic along Woodward Avenue between Ferndale and Pontiac, this route--along with 450 Woodward Local--temporarily runs a bypass detour until the WDC events has concluded. The 461 FAST Woodward route also travels on a bypass route but ends at the Troy Civic Center Park & Ride while the 460 Woodward Local also ends at Somerset Collection. The Somerset Collection also serves 450 and 462 but ONLY during the Woodward Dream Cruise Saturday at mid-August each year. Regular routes, including the FAST routes reverts back to original routings on Sunday. In addition to the Woodward Dream Cruise event, SMART also runs the WDC shuttle between Ferndale and Pontiac but only during the WDC Saturdays in mid-August.
