Smart app updates in Google Play Store are live! Google promised at Google I/O that these incremental updates would speed up downloads by sending just the binary diffs between an app you have installed and its updated version.

Check out what happens to an app that was updated before smart updates were enabled in the Play Store backend, and then an app that was updated more recently - it clearly demonstrates a smart update in action.
