Smart Selector is the worlds most advanced layer selection algorithm for After Effects. Smart Selector allows you to point, click, and select any layer you can see. Smart Selector sees through bounding boxes, precomps, and layer transparency to find the select layers. You can use Smart Selector to find layers in your active composition or have it select layers that are embedded inside multiple precomps. Smart Selector even allows you to select layers under adjustment layers. Welcome to the new way of working in After Effects.
