Nintendo's Switch 2 will inevitably host the next Super Smash Bros. Game. The Nintendo Direct on April 2nd may even confirm Smash's future! Fans are eager to see whether the next Smash on the Switch's successor will be brand new, or simply a remastered version of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, maybe just with a few more fighters. One thing is for sure, the next Nintendo Smash game NEEDS more Fire EMblem characters! Roy, Marth and the gang are grasping at straws, trying to find just a sliver of hope! There simply isn't enough Fire Emblem representation in Smash Bros., and there never has been. Only 8 fighters out of Ultimate's 89 were from the legendary Strategy RPG series. Not even 10 Percent!

From Smash Bros. Melee, when Marth and Roy were introduced, Nintendo has always given Fire Emblem a cold shoulder. From cloned characters to stages that don't represent the series, to fighters like Chrom being INTENTIONALLY left out of the Wii U Smash, it borders on ridiculous.

The Switch 2 is a big deal, but Fire Emblem is easily the most amazing franchise in history. World of Light was originally going to be a Fire Emblem adapted Story mode, but Sakurai ran out of time. Nintendo would be wise to double down on FE, given its spotless reputation, especially if they're doing a reboot of the series.

We need more versions of iconic Fire Emblem characters, like classic Marth and Roy from the 90s and early 2000s games. Lyn needs to be fully playable instead of just an assist trophy. Characters like the heroes from Fire Emblem Engage deserve their spotlight as well. The Smash roster also needs to stop being so shy about using swords! Why are there more fighters who DON'T use swords, than those who wield the steel blades?

Join Shep as he reflects on Fire Emblem's unfair treatment, from Super Smash Bros. Melee, Brawl, all the way through Smash Ultimate. You'll see how low on the totem poem Nintendo has placed the greatest franchise in video game history. Please stay tuned to the very end for the ultimate truth about the Fire Emblem placement in the hallowed halls of Smash Bros. Thanks for watching gamers. it's always good to see ya! Please like and Subscribe if this was entertaining!
