Smash-like Roguelike ‘Spiritfall’ to Hit Steam
1aving won “Most Fun to Play” at Indie X and “Best Graphics” at Dreamhack Beyond this past year, Gentle Giant can today confirm Spiritfall will launch on Steam on February 28th, 2024.
Spiritfall is an action roguelike inspired by platform fighters with a beautifully vibrant, hand-drawn art style, fluid animations, and powerful atmospheric music. Play as Omenforged, a warrior of unknown origin chosen by the Divine Spirits to fight against the blight spreading across the land. Players will traverse dangerous regions, and unleash dynamic combos as they battle against hordes of enemies using an ever-changing arsenal of powers. While on their journey, players will encounter mysterious characters, forge and upgrade a variety of epic weapons, and unlock new elemental skills, chambers, and secrets.
The full release will include the final region of The Brink along with new enemies and the final boss fight, access to all weapons and their new forms, an optional boss fight for players who want to challenge their skills, and more.
