SMOD 40a - Tank Test
23Holy shit it actually works! Unfortunately it can't aim a full 360 degrees due to the turret NPC's limitations. TODO: Replace with Merkava
HOW IT WAS DONE:
I started by rigging the tank chassis to the APC's boneset and making a new attachment point for the turret to attach to via the SetParent and SetParentAttachment inputs. Then I copied the APC's mdl and renamed it to baseveh_apc so it could be used thru $includemodel, thus preventing really fucking stupid crashes from occuring. Once that was done I took the tank turret and rigged it to the floor turret's boneset, then used npc_replacemodel to replace SMOD's rocket turret model with the tank turret's. After that, I made a duplicate of the APC's vehicle script with reduced speed and improved steering, since npc_vehicledriver is extremely semi-retarded.
