I have been busy since my latest upload of YIIK/Advance Wars to this. Moving, new jobs, worse internet thanks to being in the middle of nowhere where I have only one provider available, (literally 1 - 1.5 MBPs), among other things. (This one hour video took about 3 hours to upload, not counting YouTube processing, compared to around an hour before of the same length and quality) I plan to upload more when the internet allows it so, but don't expect constant uploads. Maybe around 3-4 a week, depending on what's happening.
--------Game Info----------
Dino Crisis is a survival horror and action-adventure video game series created by Shinji Mikami and developed and published by Capcom. The plot focuses on recurring outbreaks of deadly dinosaurs in closed environments, such as a laboratory on an island.
Dino Crisis takes place on a fictional location known as Ibis Island in the year 2009. The Secret Operation Raid Team (SORT) has sent an agent, Tom, to investigate a research facility. During the recon mission, he learns that Dr. Edward Kirk, a world-renowned scientist who was reported dead three years ago, is leading a secret weapons project within the facility. SORT sends four agents (Regina, Gail, Rick, and Cooper) to acquire Kirk and return him to custody. The team arrives on the island under the cover of darkness, dropping in via parachute. Cooper is blown off course and lands in the jungle away from the others. Lost in the dark, he is chased down by a Tyrannosaurus and eaten. The other three agents, unaware of his death, proceed with the mission.
Dino Crisis received largely positive reviews, though reviewers felt it appropriate to compare it with Capcom's Resident Evil line of games
It's been a while since I've done tank controls. Also apparently this game's movement is tied to the d pad rather than the control stick which was weird, but easily fixed using the ~emulator~ control inputs. (Hence the pause that may or may not be noticeable towards the beginning of the game). Also, no subtitles, this was a time before such a thing was mainstream. Luckily most of the dialogue takes during when no background music is playing or low enough for it to not affect it.
The game is not particularly long, around 7 hours, faster if you are speedrunning, or upwards of 10 for 100%, so we'll see how long it takes for a boomer like me to finish it.
