Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 - Knife In The Dark (Chapter #07)
0We start this mission with Diaz as our spotter. Head towards the edge and take a peek at the enemies ahead. The roaming guard in front is best to take down when he heads towards your left. Off on the right is a double kill just waiting to happen. Pop these two nerds when the are staring at the map. Two threats are present. Leave the turret guy for last. Take out his friend though when he starts walking away from the turret area. After the enemies are gone make sure to collect SECRET ITEM 1 on top of where the double killed soldiers were.
Now you will follow Diaz and he tells you to split up. We get to go right and Diaz will take to higher ground so he can spot for us. Be stealthy once you get to the marker. While crouched, look to the left for a wooden shack. There is a sniper there and he is an okay shot. Eliminate him now. He has a friend off to the left. Blow his brains out as well. There are two more hostiles. Tag the guard that moves behind the wall first. Finally take out the last guy when he is in the hut.
When you touch ground you will want to quickly run forward and through the door in the wall to the farthest open building. A whole convoy of enemies is coming from the right and will spot you if you don't make like bread truck and haul buns out of there! Follow the route and as soon as you exit the lower area, turn right instead of going straight and go up the stairs on the right to get inside of the building above you. SECRET ITEM 2 is on the second floor of this building, an opening in the wall drops you off where you were before. Stick to the foliage in the left after you make your way around to avoid being spotted.
Eventually Diaz will tell you to hide when a chopper shows up. You might want to heed that advice! Don't move until you're all clear. Time to take out some bad guys! Diaz will mark a target on a bridge. Smoke him. Diaz will also take out a target while you are taking care of your business. Follow Diaz and eventually you will be informed about some snipers in different towers. Your first target is in the top window to the right. Next is in the middle tower on the top window. The final sniper is at the third tower at the top going prone.
Move forward until Diaz tells you to duck out of the spotlight. Stay where he goes and listen when he tells you to halt or move forward. When you move towards the bridge, make sure to stay to the right to avoid the light. Go down the river and into a cave. Don't kill these two guards yet! Eavesdrop on them first. After they are done talking about whose wearing the more interesting socks, stealth kill the guy on the left with your knife. Diaz will take care of the other. When you are about to exit, Diaz will give you a heads up about a double kill above you. Wait for the roamer to walk to the right to get the better shot. When they are dead you can move out and inside the shack to the right is SECRET ITEM 3.
Follow Diaz up to a sniping nest. Take out the guard on the right when Diaz tells you to. There is a sniper on the left and he is the next to eat a bullet. Beware though, the last 3 guards will become aware of you and will attack you. Either snipe fast or whip out the pistol to finish them off. Diaz will be close, but do not rely on him to protect you. Protect yourself!
Follow Diaz around until he spots two guards. Kill the guy on the right for the simultaneous kill. Right before you go up the stairs to the Comm tower, go through some planks to the right to find SECRET ITEM 4 at the top of the stairs. Head to the tower and mission over!
Just a heads up about a trophy. You probably have earned it before this mission but you need to kill 50 enemies via headshot. Whether it's from your sniper rifle or your pistol. If you haven't gotten it yet, focus more on the faces of enemies from here on out.
