My first foray into Contracts 2 on a difficulty harder than Deadeye, due to self imposed restrictions. Fully timestamped so you can skip around to various interesting parts.

I have my HUD on for the first mission and the first half of the 2nd, because there's no way to cycle through gadgets and the weapon wheel doesn't show up, so I thought it would be unplayable without the HUD. However, I was having a MUUUCH less engaging experience shooting at triangles when everything's tagged, so I swapped to NoHUD for my 2nd stream, which made for a much more fun experience for me.

15:10 ish is where I start going "eh, I really don't deserve any of the info I'm getting and I'm just shooting at red triangles..." - when I consider the tradeoff between playability and actually being engaged with the game.
Look at difference in gameplay between that and 2:22:05 lol.

Quick FAQ:

I find having a more realism (lol, i know) based experience (rather than it being too game-y) to be more fun and authentic, and in pursuit of that, here are the things I turn OFF and the upgrades I refuse to buy:

- HUD OFF (occasionally turned on to check ammo/inventory, or when bugged out)
- Radar OFF
- Hitmarkers OFF
- The last 2 Utility perks (Target tracking + Environ chip)
- Any of the Awareness perks (Basically wallhacks + chams on everything...)
- 'Mask mode' on the drone.
- Any of the poison drone upgrades
- Tagging bullets

Do I use any mods? Just added currency at the start, so I can kit out the way I want to when playing the game. I only get to experience the missions for the first time ONCE in my life, and I don't want that experience to be half-kitted. Any subsequent playthrough, I'd already know where everything is, and it'd be less engaging to play.

How do I make weapon wheel work without HUD? I set up my kit so that all the throwables are between non-throwables so that it's obvious to me when I've selected the wrong item.
