I didn't like Breath of the Wild. I thought it was boring and a very bad Zelda game. I thought it was a new IP that had the Zelda skin thrown on it at the 2/3's point of production, if not a little earlier, that would have done much better as a new IP. In other words: gameplay is fine, doesn't fit Zelda very well. I still hold that opinion on Tears of the Kingdom right now, but it is less boring so far. There's more music, the powers are more fun to mess with, shrines are currently taking full advantage of the powers to have better creative variety, but the weapons suck more now. I can only hope it stays as good if not better later on.
