standard mode is basically identical to Game A on the NES predecessor, and as the overall objective is the same, everything I learned in terms of strategy and decision making from running the NES version of loopz carries over perfectly to super loopz, with the only major difference impacting gameplay was the dimensions of the board (14 x 9 versus the NES version's 18 x 7), and also, I don't know if it's just me but the game plays at a faster pacing than NES.
