On December 25, 2020, I started writing an Admiralty Bot for STO. I worked on it on and off for a few months before finally quitting STO once the Dilithium Exchange hit 500:1 and I lost any real motivation to continue playing. Nearly a year later, I've decided to drop a video showcasing this bot.

This code is not publicly available. I am the only one who has ever ran it. With the amount of time I ran said bot, and the amount of dilithium and EC I earned, I'm under the impression that STO has no anti-bot detction system. Presumably, I am not the only person running said operations, but that largely is a baseless assumption, however I had a working Admiralty bot running in less than a day, and know other STO bots have existed in the past.

During this time I learned a great deal about online games and their communities as a result. I also learned not to be a toxic player, and to accept that no matter what, sometimes you're not destined for greatness. At the end of the game you're just a regular person playing a video game. Alone, largely without real life friends to share those experiences with.

I am dropping this video to finally close my story on STO. It was a good 10 years, but in the 6 months I've been away, I don't think I can come back again. I don't think I can play any game with predatory microtransactions again either. I've changed my mind in the past so... anything is possible.

That being said, when creating this bot, and making this video, I came to the conclusion that I "beat" STO once and for all. The DPS numbers may go up, and new content may trickle out, but the numbers really weren't really the true end goal were they?

I guess Kraust will always be remembered as a ratfink. Sorry. I couldn't keep this one to myself this time. STO was important to me for 2020 and parts of 2021.

Please let me know if this is posted anywhere. I have no plans on posting this anywhere and I'm not part of any STO related discord servers anymore.
