One of the strongest determining factors of how much a software collectible is "worth" is whether or not it has been opened. Usually this is determined by seeing if it is still shrink-wrapped. However, it is possible to "re-shrink" software, something commonly done for returned items in software stores in the 80s and 90s. If stores could re-shrink software, how can you know if your particular collectible is authentic?

In this video, I demonstrate some characteristics of factory-original wrap, and cover tell-tale signs of re-wrapped boxes to look out for.
