unnamed 1993 demo attempt
In 1993, inspired by PANIC, Brian Hirt and I spent a few evenings playing with demo ideas. On a lark, I recently got one of these ideas working and thought I'd shove it onto youtube for posterity. The demo ends very suddenly because it crashes, but take my word for it that there were 16 grayscale cubes after the point where it ends flying around on the screen.
Code was 16-bit DPMI written in Borland Pascal and used the DSMI modplayer library. All other code and images were our own, if memory serves.
Music was not ours, it came from TECHNOMA.MOD which is (c)1991 trashcan/s8. As we had no musician, we were planning on using it because the sampletext says "if you mention us you can use it in your own productions!!!".
We produced GRIND the following year, which was a modplayer that showed ladies dancing in perfect time to the music. It used a video compression technology that Brian invented, some of which is in this unnamed demo attempt.
