After Clair Obscur Expedition 33, I decided it was time for a full playthrough of Metal Gear Solid 1, the first time I've played this video game in 26 years. Enjoy my reactions, gameplay and commentary to this legendary masterpiece by Hideo Kojima. A Playstation 1 classic from 1998 by Konami. With MGS Delta and Death Stranding 2 in the news, I figured it was time. Starring amazing characters like Solid Snake, Revolver Ocelot, Sniper Wolf, Vulcan Raven, Psycho Mantis, Decoy Octopus, Liquid Snake, Naomi, The Colonel, Master, Meryl, Grey Fox, the DARPA Chief and Mei Ling. The mechanics were way ahead of it's time, revolutionary guard AI, writing, dialogue, voice acting, boss fights, cinematography, graphics and music. A game about stealth and sneaking, and grounded in our real life history of military war, science, technology and politics. A timeless masterpiece that solidifies Kojima as a genius.
