Solo The Hardest Nightfall Ever - Grandmaster The Corrupted [Destiny 2]
Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals - Solo Grandmaster Nightfall Completion / Grandmaster The Corrupted Solo 1100 Max Difficulty / The Hardest Destiny Nightfall Solo. Just a video of the first solo for the new Grandmaster Nightfall The Ordeal for this season. Details below.
As you may have guessed by the title and it being 48 hours after this initially came out, I consider this to be the hardest nightfall in the history of the Destiny franchise by far. I figured it was going to be a tricky one to get down, but actually clearing it turned out to be incredibly challenging, and that's even with skipping most of the champions just to get the clear itself. The Overload Champions are just too random to deal with consistently solo, and when they go into attack spam mode it's frustrating to deal with. So I opted for just getting a clear itself without worrying for platinum rewards. But considering the length and difficulty of that nightfall, I don't think that's too much of a problem anyway.
In total, I think this took around 25 hours to get down. A lot of which being learning how to consistently approach each section, particularly how to approach the boss and the later parts of it which was the most time consuming. I do think replicating this again would be a lot easier now using what I learned from here. But overall that's pretty much the longest any Destiny challenge has taken me outside of initially learning Solo Oryx when I wasn't too great at the game. I can't think of anything in Destiny 2 that has compared to this solo-wise personally, so I'm happy to get it done without taking the whole week. A lot of people have speculated that whenever The Scarlet Keep comes around it will be harder than this one, but personally I think that will be significantly easier. There's no other strike that has the amount of stuff that can go wrong as there is in The Corrupted.
I have a LOT of fails for this obviously, I'll try to have that video ready for the weekend some time. I don't think I'll be touching this strike again with solo challenges. Other classes have me stumped. There's probably some possible way to make them happen, but at this point I'm happy with the one clear.
The only up on this would be with all Champions which would just be very long, and sometimes it bugs out with only giving you gold due to the double Ogre room so I didn't bother. Early attempts I was clearing the champions, but with the boss being the hardest part of the strike it makes the fatigue a lot more after spending so much longer to get there and wiping. So I just decided to make the run shorter and get the clear itself.

A lot of people asking for the Failtage, here's a link to it once it goes live: https://youtu.be/D6LADbdgPic - I posted this up a little early for channel members as usual, but it'll be public on Saturday.
My PC setup is nothing too crazy at all, but the specs are:
i7-8700, GTX 1070, 16GB DDR4-3000 Ram, 256GB SSD, 2TB HDD.
Allows me to run max settings at constant 60FPS while recording. Which is about all I need for now :)
