Solstice is the summer event in Destiny 2. It sells cosmetics, and brings a mediocre husk of a game mode compared to what it was. Admittedly we did get some minor improvements on the second iteration of Bonfire Bash this year, but the Boss Rush style of the original Solstice of Heroes remains my clear favorite. It prioritized being competent at navigating environment and eliminating foes as fast as possible. And then navigating some more for extra rewards. This version feels rather lifeless compared to the predecessor, as is the case with a lot of the content in the game these days. Oh well.
