- How to solve the insane FPS drop (Stuttering) problem when switching from pistol or grenade to the primary weapon in Insurgency Sandstorm in a VERY SIMPLE way:
- Close the game.
- Locate the Insurgency Sandstorm game in your Steam library.
- Right click on the name of the game, and click on PROPERTIES.
- After opening the GENERAL tab in the center of the screen, disable/uncheck the third option: CLOUD STEAM.
- Okay, that should solve the problem.

- HOW TO IDENTIFY THIS PROBLEM WITHIN THE GAME:

- This INSANE FPS drop, Freezing, Stuttering, stuck, whatever you prefer to call it, is very specific and only happens exactly:
- In online matches (does not occur in local or offline matches).
- MAINLY happens when you are using a pistol, or grenade and goes back to the main weapon. (or when it spawns, when it goes over obstacles). In short, whenever the soldier pulls the primary weapon, that damned stutter will happen.
- If you've been having other types of FPS drop, look for help on the forums, that's where I found the solution to this problem.

- How I identified the problem:

- I haven't played Insurgency for a while, and I never had problems running the game, even playing with almost all settings on Ultra, and with very low ping, I came across this specific problem of sudden drop in FPS (Stuttering), and I hadn't realized that this happened when I changed weapons, so, as a genius that I am, I uninstalled the game, reinstalled, changed from HDD to SSD, tried everything... and the damn problem continued, until I realized it crashed only when I pulled the main weapon (as described above), then it was very easy to find the solution, in this forum: https://www.reddit.com/r/insurgency/comments/pjiz0d/insane_fps_dropsstuttering_when_switching_to_main/
