Starting disc 2 has made the "unfinished status" Xenogears is known for all the more apparent. Not that the game is a buggy mess, far from it, its more that the ideas and scenes meant to be in the story were never properly implemented due to Square rushing the developers out the door. With a game of this large a scope, it probably needed at most another year for the game's narrative to be fully realized.
