I think it sounds more like Mark Klem to me.
And the noisy sound can't be avoided. With "noisy" I mean the bass going "ffff" on certain notes. About the stereophony, I apparently overdid the pan changes. In the bad way. Because my camcorder records with stereo too, I narrowed the panning. Apparently not only for the specific audio track of the cam, but for the entire video, including turning down the stereo for the song.. It's barely audible anymore :(
