SMW challenge from Zeldara109:
Complete the game from start to finish with as few points as possible.

This means I have to avoid everything that can give me points, and finish each level with one second left, and hit the goal tape every time. Fortunately, things like airborne coins, midway gates, extra lives, eating enemies with Yoshi, and killing Hammer Bros by bumping their platforms, and anything else that doesn't give points is fair game.

Now, I can't just take the shortest route for this. If I pass through Star World 1, I'll end up having to tear through a bunch of turn blocks for 50 points each, and gain well over 1000 before reaching the key. However, if I detour through the Vanilla Dome, and access the Star World from there, I won't have to score nearly as much!

For the bosses, I had already figured out ahead of time how long it normally takes to beat them, and made plans to enter their chambers with the proper amount of time left.

Once I reach Bowser, it doesn't matter what I do there (as long as I win), because points can't be acquired in Bowser's room. So, since it's just the regular Bowser fight at that point, I've sped up the video there. (I've also sped up the video in a few other places too.)

Note: To reduce the risk of ZSNES desynching my movie, I used a clean ROM for this, so no custom music this time. Fortunately, my successful run recorded properly!

Another note: The original movie file is 52 minutes long, but the run actually only took me about half that amount of time, due to fast-forwarding while waiting for the timer to count down, and also for castle destruction scenes, etc.

A simple and lengthy challenge. Don't expect me to do any more challenges of this length again.
