Just a waffle and tinkering with emulation on the M1 MacMini. I installed DOSBox-X on the M1 - how does it stack up running DOS and Windows games compared to DOSBox-X running on Windows or Linux on an x86/Intel/Ryzen machine.
It turns out that DOSBox-X fairs a little less well on M1Mac and 86Box does very well and is very fast on M1Mac compared to the same builds on Intel/Ryzen Linux/Windows machines.
The M1MacMini in 2024 still is a very nice and decent machine even in the low tier with 8Gb of RAM and 245Gb SSD.
Might have to revisit more of the various emulators properly in a new video which is somewhat less of a random waffle than this one is.
