Song of the Deep Walkthrough PART 15 ENDING!!
19Welcome back to the final part of Song of the Deep!! the brand new metroidvania action adventure game from Insomniac games. An underwater tale that looks like something straight out of a storybook, the art direction is just stunning, like a child's dream come to life. I want to explore every nook and cranny it feels so alive and the music is beautiful. Based around Irish myths and legends this truly will be one to remember!! It's fantastic to see more games based on Irish legends, i believe there are incredible stories there and can translate well into video games. Insomniac seems to have created something special with Song of the Deep and i cannot wait to get started!!
We play Merryn, a fisherman's daughter who by day watches her father leave on his days' work and at night holds a candle out to sea to guide him safely home. Once home her father would tuck her into bed and sing her songs of his great adventures at sea. He sang of giant Leviathan serpents, haunted caves and a lost city of gold!! Merryn knew these tales weren't real but was mesmerized by them, drifting off to sleep imagining the wonders of the world below. Their life was a simple one, but a happy one.......until one night her father did not return. She held her candle out to sea, night after night but her father still did not return, at last she collapsed into sleep, dreaming of her father trapped deep beneath the sea, calling out to her for help. Merryn wakes with a jolt and a dangerous plan forming in her head. She takes scraps of wood and metal her father had caught in his nets, tirelessly bolts and saws them together and, before the sun had set she had built a tiny submarine. With trembling hands she squeezes inside and dives beneath the waves in search of her father!!

Part 15 of my Song of the Deep Walkthrough. It's all come down to this. If the Merrow and the Seagarden are to have a chance to live in peace we must face The Rimorosa!! A Giant Octopus capable of destroying fermori structures and the sea gardens themselves. What caused him to go on a rampage and can we stop him?? Welcome to the final part of Song of the Deep!!! It's time to confront this beast and maybe there'll be a few surprises..........
This game has been an incredible journey as with most great games you don't wan them to end!! The story was a real treat and i hope Merryn has a happy ending.
I hope we see Merryn and Swish in the future back for another adventure!!

Song of the Deep has the player control Merryn, a 12-year-old girl who loves her father, a fisherman, even when he tells her tall tales of his adventures. When her father goes missing at sea one day, she has a vision of him being trapped at the depths of the ocean. Determined to find him, she crafts a submarine and gear to explore the ocean, and is startled to see that many of her father's tales were actually true.
The game plays as a two-dimensional side-scroller in the style of a Metroidvania game. Areas of the game's world require the player to locate special improvements for Merryn and her equipment to surpass obstacles and explore further. While there are enemies in the game that can harm Merryn, the game is aimed less towards combat and more on exploration and puzzle solving, with some emphasis on the nature of how objects behave underwater.
Insomniac's chief creative officer, Brian Hastings considered Song of the Deep as a "passion project",wanting to create a heroine that his daughter could look up to. Hastings wanted this heroine to be different from the typical female hero found in video games, which tend to be "pretty", "sexy" or "badass", and instead give the heroine attributes that would reinforce positive qualities about his own daughter, "intelligence, creativity, kindness and resilience". A further influence for the heroine was the favorable feedback that Insomniac has received over the years from fans, praising with how the developers were able to create characters they could identify with.
