While doing some research for mania i decided to take a look at its oldest cousin Sonic 2, theres a lot of things that have changed since sonic CD one of them being this player Status value. it changes depending on what your character is doing, so while standing still its 10, Jumping is 14, Spindashing is 18, Flying is 22 ect. so you can force this state while using different characters so Sonic can Glide and Wall Climb, So can Tails. and Knuckles can Fly Like Tails. not sure if this also effects the shields, since i haven't gotten debug mode i cant play with it.
