This is a quick playthrough I did of the SAGE 2018 playable demo of the modified Steam version of Sonic 3&K. Features three playable zones; Hydrocity, Ice Cap & Mushroom Hill.

"SONIC 3 – ANGEL ISLAND REVISITED (Sonic 3 A.I.R.) is a PC port of the original Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Freed from the hardware limitations of the Genesis / Mega Drive, it allows for features you would only expect from a fan game engine, including full widescreen support.​

PROJECT STATUS

The game is still early in development. The features mentioned above are implemented, but gameplay is limited to only a few zones that have been ported over completely and made ready for widescreen.
Currently these are Hydrocity Zone and Ice Cap Zone with both acts each, and more are already in preparation.


REQUIREMENTS

Sonic 3 A.I.R. is built on top of the Sonic 3 & Knuckles Steam version. It works in some way similar to an emulator, and gets basically all of its data from the ROM that is part of this Steam release.
So in order to play, owning the S3&K Steam game is a requirement!"
