2For a fire level,I didn't find this place too bad actually. Once again the Flame Shield proves itself invaluable here,making Sonic immune to most hazards here. Just watch out for spike traps and spiked balls that jump up every now and then. If steam catches Sonic it'll slow him down until it's shaken off with a spindash. A giant robotic hand and tentacles that shoot fireballs await at the end of Act 1. At the end of the Act 2,the Death Egg fires up the area,and you'll have to go through a side-scrolling section with a robot attacking you. When you reach the lava falls,pick up the fire shield and head on down. Dr.Robotnik is protected by the lava and shoots out spiked balls. You can't hurt him,but the spiked things can hurt him if they fall into him. Takes a lot of hits,but he'll eventually be beaten.
