This challenge is considered the sequel to the Tag Team Challenge, though it's not as flexible.

You once again get to play as Sonic & Knuckles, except you need 50 Rings to switch between characters, and every time you do, you switch to them in their different routes.

Wherever you are with one character in a level determines where you'll be with the character you just swapped into. So you have to rely on switching at the right time, or you might end up going backwards through a level and lose some time.

This challenge takes place in Carnival Night Act 1 and Lava Reef Act 1.
