Replacing cutscene voice files in event_adx_e.afs will almost always cause them to go silent in-game. There's a reason for this: all voice clips must be exactly 352 kbps in bit rate, as that's the bit rate for all clips. To fix whatever clip you want to add in, open the audio file in Audacity and change the rate AND project rate of the track to 22050 Hz. This will dramatically decrease the track's speed, so increase the speed until it sounds just as it did originally. Then, make sure the track is a mono track (not stereo) and the format is 32-bit float, and finally, export the file. Check its properties and it should have a 352 kbps bit rate, and if so, it's safe to use!
