I hadn't really put effort into ranks in the old save file, and don't really mind this happening. Plus we're already getting some A's as I run through the mission 1's.
I mentioned this on stream between ending the randomizer section of the VOD and starting this section, but the only reason this isn't vanilla is I have the SA2 Volume Controls mod by Shaddatic on. The gameplay is completely vanilla.
Stream was an hour shorter than usual because my housemate wanted to cook at 11 AM for medicine schedule reasons. I don't think that'll be the case next weekend, but may need to consider a different stream time.
