Sonic and All Star Transformed (PC Vs PS3) - Race of Ages
Edit: YouTube once again is continuing to mess up the video quality of my uploads. Here's a Sonic video of mine from early 2015 for comparison. It's still got a bit of pixelation going on, but nowhere like as bad as what's going on here: https://youtu.be/YpPm-wVAluQ
Here's a split screen comparison of Sonic and All Star Transformed running on the PC at 60fps versus the PS3 version running at 30fps. on the final stage in the game 'Race of Ages'.I love both versions, but obviously the PC version's going to swing it for me, being the frame-rate whore that I am.
If you missed out on this game first time around, it's well worth adding to your collection if you're a big Sega fan, it's filled with lots of lovely homages to Sega games of old, from the Outrun and After Burner stages to the fact you can play as the Hornet from Daytona and Shinobi and Gillius Thunderhead from Golden Axe.
Special mention must go to the absolutely superb soundtrack by Richard Jaques also, with some absolutely thumpin' remixes od old school Sega tunes. The one in the background here is a remixed version of the theme to Space Fantasy Zone (an unreleased PC Engine CD-ROM game that combined Space Harrier and Fantasy Zone). You can see me playing it in an absolutely ancient video of mine here using a PC Engine emulator on my Sega Dreamcast: https://youtu.be/kTD86ykpW_Q?list=PLAevDYyhvzHrsDI3z-enrTsvPeE3I7qR4
I also re-used the soundtrack in a longer video I made about Planet Harriers running on DEMUL: https://youtu.be/18mJa74GFp8?list=PLAevDYyhvzHrsDI3z-enrTsvPeE3I7qR4
