This is a full mix of the Lava Reef Zone track(s) from "Sonic (the Hedgehog 3) & Knuckles", remixed by me. I wanted to make a full mix which emulated the transition from one act to another, much like in many tracks of the Sonic Next Gen OST, and no one had remixed these tracks in that manner yet.

This mix I was a little skeptical about actually being able to complete, but after examining the tracks closer I discovered that the tempo for the music of both acts (to my surprise) was actually the same, albeit Act 2 appeared to be in "half time". This meant no tempo changes were actually needed and the mix could transition from Act 1 directly into Act 2 with no problem.
I also took the opportunity to experiment with the bass and percussion tracks, made by dissident93, as well as fading in and out part of the melody behind it... not much, but enough that it felt complete.

All tracks were composed by Michael Jackson and the SEGA Sound Team, primarily Tatsuyuki Maeda (as well as Brad Buxer, Bobby Brooks, Darryl Ross, Geoff Grace, Doug Grigsby III and "Scirocco"), but credit was not given where it was due in Sonic 3 (or he didn't wish to be credited).
