It seems I have more trouble fitting a bunch of races from this game into one video than I do for Mario Kart Wii. I wonder why that is. The courses themselves aren't necessarily longer, and I cut out all the lobby stuff outright. Do the winning ceremony cutscenes really hog up that much time? I might cut them out in the future, since I think you've seen what they all look like.

And if not, let me know so I'll keep showing them.

Race #1
Knuckles
Turbine Loop
Song: Final Fortress
As promised, here I am using Knuckles. It seems that the host of this room hasn't unlocked any other courses yet, looking at the ones that showed up. But the fact that the host knew how to change courses already puts this one above a good two-thirds of hosts I've encountered. sara was the host here, and I must say she's pretty admirable to continue to host rooms where she's always placing last.

Race #2
Jacky & Akira
Icicle Valley
Song: Volcanic Orchestra
I noticed you haven't been seeing much of this duo, so I might as well put this race up. Icicle Valley is probably the second most frequently seen course I've played online in, first being Whale Lagoon. We have another race where Shadow just bursts out into the lead and stays there, everyone being powerless to catch up or even keep up. The rest of it was close though.

Race #3
Sonic
Jump Parade
Song: Bum Bum
If you've watched a lot of these videos or have played the game a bunch, you'll know that the items system has some pretty deep flaws in it that normally results in the racers getting spread out through a race. Mario Kart's item system is carefully designed to keep races close, and that's what makes them exciting and keeps people coming back for more. The item system in this game favors the lead racer, so I get the impression it was designed by someone who played a lot of Mario Kart and got annoyed at the Blue Shell attacks and the like and purposefully designed the item system here to suit his (or her) desires being in the lead. Which is why this race was particularly remarkable in that it remained so close. Races like these are pretty rare, and finding opponents who are at a roughly equal skill level to yours even rarer. Unfortunately the excitement in this room was brought down a bit in that Mel only uses Amigo and Michiru only uses Knuckles. How about a little bit of variety for once, huh?
