Here's a not so fun fact: I did all of Quartz Quadrant only to learn the hard way that OBS makes my videos sound like they're underwater with my headphones off. I had to use a save editor to reset back to the beginning of Quartz Quadrant to try again! If you're looking to edit your own save, use this: https://jcfields.gitlab.io/sonic-cd-save-editor/. Shoutout to J. C. Fields for making such a user friendly and online editor!
Anyways, Quartz Quadrant is one of the few rounds not based on anything in Sonic 1. It's also pretty fast paced, and features some of the cheerier music in the game. It's definitely one of the better rounds for sure.
At this point I have to stop going for Special Stages until Metallic Madness Zone 2. If you get all the Time Stones, the Robot Transporters all disappear, and I want to do a full 100% run, so I have to wait until the last possible moment to get the last Time Stone.
