it was possible in sonic mania and of course possible here as well, this is me trying out object between 5 and 29 when it triggered the time travel and died. turns out shields are an object as well, though i figured as much as that's how they work in sonic mania as well. if anyone else can figure out what the bouncing ring is supposed to be, I have a feeling its meant to be something else but uses the ring's graphic as a place holder...not sure why.
