Hello again.

Well, it is 2024, November 14th, 19:30. Why this date exactly? Because it is the fifth anniversary of my return to YT.
I was and still is knee-deep in horrendous depressing mishmash of postgrad studies and work, as well as being too weak and lazy to do anything, but missing that date would simply be disrespectful to the game that made me feel pity for not finishing it back in 2016.

Timecodes:
00:11 - Palmtree Panic
08:41 - Collision Chaos
17:38 - Tidal Tempest
25:59 - Quartz Quadrant
30:21 - Wacky Workbench
38:04 - Stardust Speedway
44:14 - Metallic Madness

I still try to do the game like I did in both 2016 and 2019-2020, so there shouldn't be any surprises. But now I'm using the entire repertoire of KingMeteorStudios's Past music for the US soundtrack for the replaythrough to feel complete.

And, yes, this is canon to my WOTC timeline. Only this time it's Taras // Opposing-Forc who is playing, not Wagnerson.

Now, the mini-FAQ.

Q: COPYRIGHT CLAIM?!!
A: yes - and I think I know which track gave me it.
Copyright rats win this time, but Copyright Eliminator is sure to punish them soon.

Q: why both OSTs?
A: because I feel that the US soundtrack is under-represented. Thought so in 2019, still thinking it now.

Q: lags // not 60 FPS
A: dunno why it even happened, it was simply impossible... but not really. Sonic CD on Windows 11 worked much worse than during my 2016 and 2019-2020 videos on the game.
In fact, the spinning sound doesn't work - I had to insert every single one of them back.
And this was my third attempt of doing the replaythrough, with two previous ones being bogged down with even worse problems. "Sorry, no re-recordings", I decided then.

Q: I hear faint music in the background
A: playing like in 2019-2020 required constant quitting of the game just to re-apply that .rsdk file to play other music. I got tired of it.
But, being taught with my WDMR experience, playing Sonic without any music led to cracking/popping sounds, which are very, very annoying to remove across all of the footage.
Hence the compromise. All music was inserted with Vegas just like spinning sounds and overlaid on the primary master sound, I used the files from extracted .rsdk data to be as close as possible to in-game scripting and such. I wasn't perfect with overlays because I'm really tired - but still good enough.

Consider the faint background music to be that funky ambient you could hear in other games when exploring, alright?

Q: *anything about MMZ Act 3 music*
A: by design.

Q: you're too slow!
A: yup, that's actually my problem now. I don't have reactions like I did five years ago anymore, sorry.

Q: where's the custom intro like the one from your original/remake Sonic CD episodes?
A: it was a challenge to get myself up to do the replaythrough of the actual game, much less the intro... I did think about doing the new custom intro just for this occasion, but it was way too late.
In concept it wasn't too complex, though. Certainly doable even by me.

Q: WDMR version of Sonic CD to laugh at your ineptitude?
A: I actually seriously thought about that. But are you really ready to be rock-n-rolled by Sam Stone again, haha?
But nah, I wanted to use tracker music (like in the original Deus Ex) to make Sonic CD WDMR distinctive. Maybe one day, when I feel brave enough to be playing with the holy grounds of Sonic community.
What it should be like - you can hear at the end of the video.

Q: Bradford too scary when angry, Sonic tries to threaten me with his fist!
A: fun fact - I did that intro based on my mood. Sadly, most of the time it's really poor.
I also never tried to make Sonic threatening there, but if it looks like

Q: Special Stage 5!
A: it's still my Sonic nemesis.
