Appearance

Rhea Island is a large portion of the same landmass Kronos Island is located on, located to the north of the areas from the Kronos portion. As such, it aesthetically looks identical to Kronos, with the exception of six black towers which loom over the landscape.

History

Sonic Frontiers

Upon Sonic the Hedgehog's arrival on Rhea Island, six mysterious towers rose out of the terrain fully active. Tails, still stuck between Cyber Space and reality, rushed to meet Sonic, who was physically exhausted from his rising cyber-corruption. The End subsequently contacted Sonic, instructing him to "silence the six towers" and "tear down the walls between dimensions". Trying to remain positive, Sonic voiced his thanks for the lack of a Titan in the area, and comforted Tails before rushing off to deactivate the towers.

One by one, Sonic deactivated the towers, receiving a vision of the Ancients' actions from thousands of years ago after each deactivation. Through these visions, he witnessed them harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds to escape their planet, them fleeing their home planet after its destruction by The End, them being forcibly drawn to Earth by the Master Emerald, their creation of Cyber Space to preserve their memories and ambitions, their creation of the Titans to battle the returning The End, and their final battle with the monster in space.

Along the way, Sonic encountered Sage, who attempted to warn him of his rising levels of the cyber-corruption. With no other way to save his friends, however, Sonic continued onward, much to Sage's interest. Sage contacted Sonic again after his deactivation of the third tower, noting that although she had a degree of respect for him, she expected his fate to be exactly how it was in her simulations.

After deactivating the final Tower, Sonic was teleported off of Rhea and into a painful red void. As Sonic fights the cyber-corruption, his friends start to teleport in, starting with Amy Rose, followed by Knuckles the Echidna, Tails, with Sage and Dr. Eggman in his personal vehicle arriving last. Looking around, they see Sonic affected by the cyber-corruption before it ends and it cuts back to Rhea Island, where Knuckles asks what happened to him, in which Tails replies that he took too much cyber energy.

Suddenly Sage teleports up to Eggman, where she said that he must get back into Cyber-Space, in which Dr. Eggman ended up reacting in shock. Sage explained that he must get back in order to be alive when the End gets out. Suddenly, the End speaks. Afterwards, they revive Sonic, and they and the others ended up teaming up to fight the End. Afterwards, Sonic is teleported to Ouranos Island.
